Coen's Puzzle

I designed this quilt for my young grandson Coen.  The bright colors in my batik collection seemed so playful and happy, just like our little one.  Coen's Puzzle is my most recent original quilt pattern design employing an optical illusion quilt pattern.  Even though the quilt appears to be made up of nothing but complex curves, all of the seams and blocks are straight lines (this is the optical illusion part!).  I used one of my favorite quilt blocks, the 54 40 or Fight quilt block, and set it against a black background to really showcase the beautiful batik fabrics.  I am thrilled with how this one turned out!
